Minimally Invasive Surgery

Why is Minimally Invasive Surgery important?

We know as surgeons that smaller incisions and lesser invasive procedures lead to faster recoveries.  This is because a smaller incision is often significantly less painful and forms less scar tissue than a larger incision for the same procedure.

This is why Dr. Steven Lee is proudly a leader of minimally invasive surgical techniques.  These procedures include:

  • Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release

  • Wrist Arthroscopy

  • TFCC Repair via Wrist Arthroscopy

  • Elbow Arthroscopy

  • Knee Arthroscopy

  • Shoulder Arthroscopy

  • Ankle Arthroscopy

What Experience Does Dr. Steven Lee Have with These Surgeries?

Dr. Steven Lee is one of the few surgeons nationwide to consistently utilize minimally invasive surgical techniques for the hand, wrist, and elbow.  Many surgeons still use open/larger incision for procedures that can be done via arthroscopy with proper training.  Because of Dr. Steven Lee's significant background in Sports Medicine and arthroscopy, he is able to carry over his knowledge and expertise to the world of Hand/Wrist/Elbow surgery to offer patients a faster recovery.

Dr. Steven Lee not only uses these techniques regularly, he also instructs these techniques to fellow surgeons nationwide on the following techniques:

  • Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release

  • Elbow Arthroscopy

  • TFCC Repairs via Wrist Arthroscopy
